Web Design, Keyword Technology and Marketing
Web Design is the construction of the website, the graphics,
the navigation, the text copy. How the images appear, how the pages layout on
screen. What navigation buttons appear on each page, what headings, sub headings
and font sizes are used. Colors, images, etc.
In most cases, web designers are graphic artists and in many cases, good
copywriters. In today’s marketplace you need highly skilled web designers, as
getting a visitor to a site is a huge task, you want a great site for them to
land on.
Keyword Technology is the aspects of the site, both on site,
and off, that determine how search engines receive the information from the
site, how they view that information, and how that site is going to appear in
their ranking system. Each search engine is different, Keyword Technology takes
into account the differences and applies the knowledge required to the
respective site, or sites.
It used to be that web design and positioning firms would get a client who
wanted a website and then proceed to build and design that site. Then move
forward and position that website for the client in the respective industry.
Over a period of time hopefully that client’s site moved into favorable search
results positions online and they received traffic.
Over the years the web design firm would get more clients and add more sites and

without keyword technology is completely useless. A nice well designed website
that is positioned three million pages deep will never be seen by anyone.
Whereas, even a poorly designed site, that is highly ranked on the first page of
a well searched term will get visitors, and ultimately end in sales calls for
whoever has the phone #.
